Like all professionals, teachers need feedback to improve. However, observations and feedback are often perceived as punitive processes. There is a way to reimagine the observation and feedback cycle so that it is empowering, collaborative, and most importantly, effective in leading towards learner growth and development.
By the end of the module, school leaders will be able to explore ways to build authentic, trusting, and clear habits of communication and interaction with teachers to foster meaningful observations.
Leaders will be able to explore ways to build authentic, trusting, and clear habits of communication and interaction with teachers to foster meaningful observations by planning how they will introduce or reintroduce observation and feedback cycles with their staff and defining and sharing the criteria that will guide the focus of the observation & feedback cycles.
