Measurement is one of the key critical skills that make up part of the Mathematics syllabus and is core to developing complete mathematically literate learners. As teachers work with this skill they encounter a lot of ambiguity in how learners understand and use units of measure. In this module, Teachers will learn and develop a practical sense to plan and implement learning strategies that support learners’ development of measurement attributes including length, capacity, and weight.
Identifying and using appropriate units of measurement, fostering measurement language, and estimating using formal and informal measurement units by planning diverse learning activities.
