A good relationship between families and schools is a top factor in positive learner outcomes. But when families are hard to reach or seem reluctant to participate, building those relationships can be tough. The focus of the module is to help teachers support families to overcome barriers that might be affecting their engagement and relationship with the school.
In this module, teachers will be able to develop solutions to overcome barriers affecting family engagement in learning and the school environment by developing an intervention plan to address overcoming the ability to navigate the school system.
