Bridging the Gap is an important skill for teachers to master with the many internal and external assessments that learners do. The process of Bridging the Gap includes identifying focus skills from summative data, developing SMART Objectives based on focus skills to reteach and planning inquiry or explicit lessons to reteach focus skills to whole group and small groups.
The purpose of this module is provide teachers with a process to using Skill Level analysis of benchmark assessments to identify learning gaps, and for teachers to design small group intervention plans.
Teachers will be able to use skill level analysis of benchmarks to inform their reteaching plans.
Teachers will be able to identify a focus skill from summative data, and develop a SMART Objective based on the focus skill to reteach.
Teacher will be able to plan an inquiry or explicit lesson to reteach the focus skill once a week to the whole group.
