Planning for data meetings is an important skill for school and teacher leaders to master with the many formative and summative assessments that teacher and learners are engaged in. The process of Planning Data Meetings includes identifying the right data sources, analysing to identify trends and gaps in learner understanding, and developing action plans based on focus skills to reteach to whole groups and small groups.The purpose of this module is to provide leaders and teacher leaders with a process to plan for data meetings to identify learning gaps, and for teachers to design small group intervention plans and follow up.
Leaders and teacher leaders will be able to develop tools and routines to build a data-driven and data-responsive learner improvement culture by preparing for data meetings. Leaders and teacher leaders will be able to gather and analyze information from both formative and summative assessments to inform their reteaching plans.
