Quality teaching can help ensure an improvement in human conditions and help contribute to the social development of children. However, it also comes with its challenges. Teachers need to be equipped with skills that will not only help them maneuver these challenges, but address them and support learners as best they can. This module will help teachers be able to reflect on contemporary themes and topics (inclusivity, HIV sensitization, gender inclusion etc, ICT in classrooms) in Introductory Concepts to Teaching in any subject and reflect on how 1-2 themes may apply to their daily teaching.
