This module will focus on teachers’ understanding the concept and content of opening a lesson. Teachers will be able implement an engaging lesson opening resulting in learners being engaged and aware of what they are about to learn from the onset.
Module Objectives
Teachers will be able to plan a lesson opening by identifying and setting objectives, implementing a Do Now, designing and implementing an effective hook and addressing the agenda.
Teachers will be able to understand the importance of the lesson opening on the overall learning taking place in the lesson.
