Module Description

Planning Inquiry-Based Lessons module is a part of the Lesson Planning pathway. Inquiry-Based Learning is a type of implicit instruction, a form of active learning that starts by posing questions, problems or scenarios. This type of instruction allows for learners to actively construct their own knowledge. In the module participants will learn how to plan Inquiry-Based Lessons using the 5E Model of Instruction which includes five phases: Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate. It provides a carefully planned sequence of instruction that places learners at the center of learning.
